The Diva Du 2017 will be held April 29, 2017 at Kiepersol's Bushman's Celebration Center.
East Texas' first and only exclusively women's event. This is a beginner friendly duathlon consisting of a 1.5 mile run, 10 mile bike, and 1.5 mile run.
This year we are excited to have Abuelo's hosting our post-race food as well as our local and amazing wine from Kiepersol's vineyard. We have chosen to keep our vendors local and women oriented. We want to continue to support moms and women business owners who love and give back to this community in so many awesome ways.

Evening Cocktail Party
After you get down and dirty at the du, we plan to open up a night to be a Diva by hosting a 'Be A Diva' Cocktail party at the winery and tasting room of Kiepersol Estates from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Dress to impress and feel free to use your wine ticket at the cocktail party instead of post-race. We'll have a photo booth to capture the beauty and fun! Childcare will be available as well! Mom's need a night to feel pretty and have fun, too!

As athletes, we often forget about sponsors - but I want you guys to please take note of who is supporting our efforts. These are the people in the community who believe in what we do and actually have great things to offer you. They are not just a name on the back of your shirt, they are who allows us to get dirty and have some freakin' fun!
Q: Can I ride a mountain bike on this course?
A: Yes, absolutely. While this is not an off-road race, mountain bikes are welcome!
Q: Is the run a trail run or pavement?
A: Both. There is some gravel, some pavement and some grass. Be prepared for all surfaces.
Q: I've never done a duathlon before. Is this doable for a first-timer?
A: Yes! We designed a shorter course so that even the newest of athletes could complete and feel accomplished. We will be hosting a transition clinic to help newer athletes understand what to expect and how to prepare for the race. Check our event calendar or join the event on Facebook for more details. Q: Is there an age limitation?
A: No, we do not have an age limitation, however, this is not a Youth sanctioned or centered event. We have been asked about young athletes. Please note that while we have not specifically placed an age limitation, this is a police-supported open road course (not a closed race course like many youth specific events) and it is recommended that only experienced youth cyclists consider this race.** Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have further concerns regarding this.
Q: You mentioned wine! How does this work?
A: Each 'of age' participant will receive a drink ticket at packet pickup. You will be able to use this after the race or save it for the cocktail party. There will be a cash bar for more of Kiepersol's beverages and spectators are free to purchase as well.
Q: Why am I being asked to purchase a USAT thingy?
A: This event is a USAT sanctioned event and directed by a certified USAT race director, which means we are following USAT guidelines in ensuring a safe course as well as offering points towards USAT members. It is both part of insurance coverage as well as allowing your hard earned efforts to go towards USAT rankings. You can get more information about USAT by clicking HERE.
Q: What if I can't make it to packet pickup?
A: We are happy to make some exceptions to the 'no packet pickup on race day' policy. We understand some of you may be coming from out of town. Please email email@example.com to make separate arrangements. You may have someone else pick up your packet if they can produce a copy of your confirmation email.
